A fire has claimed fourteen lives and eight houses in the Tegina town in Rafi Local government area in Niger state. The fire was as a result of a petrol tanker conveying petrol from Lagos to Kaduna running into some buildings in the residential houses in the town.
According to NAN, a witness who requested anonymity said that eight houses were burnt down completely and also properties worth millions of naira including vehicles were totally engulfed in the flames. Also five people who sustained injuries were rushed to the Tegina General Hospital where they are undergoing treatment.The Police public relations officer, Bala Elkana when contacted reported that the Commissioner of Police, Zubairu Muazu has visited the site of the accident.Discover more from NewsBreakers
