A Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja, presided over by Justice Oluwatoyin Ipaye has been informed that Exsanguination, Jugular Veins Disruption, and Sharp Force Trauma, led to the death of human rights lawyer, Kunle Fadipe.Making this known at the trial of the suspected killer, Seun Oladapo, a doctor from the Lagos State University Teaching hospital (LASUTH), Dr S.S. Soyemi who explained that he carried out the autopsy with two other doctors said, “He was brought in a blue navy boxer with a name tag which bore Alex Kunle Fadipe and the autopsy was carried out on the 10th of July 2014.”The doctor further told the court that the late lawyer had several wounds which included three on his fore head, the side of his head and a deep stab wound towards the left side of his back.Dr Soyemi added that, “When the body was opened up, I also discovered that there was loss of blood (haemorrhage) and sixty-two (62) pellet wounds caused as a result of gunshot to the deceased.The late lawyer was murdered at his residence on July 4, 2014 at Harmony Estate, near Karaole Estate, College Road in Ifako Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State.The accused, Oladapo was dragged before the judge on a five-count charge that touches on murder, robbery and assault occasioning harm contrary to Section 221, 295 (2)(a) and 171 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.A section of the charge reads: “That Oluwaseun Oladapo,”Ž on the 4th day of July 2014 at about 0300hr at No 1, Harmony Estate, Ifako-Ijaiye, Iju, Lagos in the Ikeja Judicial Division whilst armed with an offensive weapon, a knife, did rob one Kunle Fadipe of a large sum of money and murdered him by stabbing him severally on numerous part of the body.“Murdered one Cecilia Owolabi by stabbing her on the chest, assault one Abiola Owolabi and Folahanmi Fadipe by stabbing them with a knife.”But the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges initiated against him by the police.Justice Ipaye adjourned the matter till December 2, 2015 for trial to continue.
