Supreme Court to Deliver Judgment on Reverend King’s Appeal

The Supreme Court of Nigeria has set aside February 26, 2016 to deliver judgment in the appeal filed by the General Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly (CPA), Rev. Chukwuemeka Ezeugo (a.k.a Reverend King). The apex court, presided over by Justice Walter Onoghen, arrived at the decision shortly after entertaining arguments from both the prosecution and defence counsels. The convicted clergy is challenging the judgment of a Lagos High Court which had sentenced him to death by hanging.
