We Will Support Nigeria’s War on Terrorism, Corruption – UN

The United Nations has made a public statement declaring its support for the Nigerian government in its determination to overcome corruption and terrorism. The UN Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon sent a high-powered delegation to meet with Nigeria’s Attorney General and Justice Minister, Abubakar Malami (SAN). According to a statement issued by the Director of Information, Federal Ministry of Justice, Nwodo Charles, the delegation was led by the UN Special envoy on ECOWAS, Dr. Mohammed Ibn Chambas. The UN further noted that it remained in total support of the moves by President Muhammadu Buhari to get the looted funds recovered. Chambers also stated that the international organization will join hands with Nigeria to give strength to the administration of Justice, the rule of law and respect for human rights in the country.
