The former governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, has filed an appeal, against the judgment of the Court of Appeal, which confirmed the victory of Governor Abiola Ajimobi in the Oyo gubernatorial polls.
Ladoja contested under the platform of the Accord Party (AP) in the April 11 election.
It would be recalled that the Oyo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal and the Court of Appeal had thrown out the petition instituted by Ladoja and his party.
Both the tribunal and the appellate court declared that the evidence given by Ladoja’s star witness is unreliable.
Specifically, the Appeal Court argued that since the witness was not a forensic expert, his evidence cannot be relied upon.
But not satisfied, Ladoja approached the apex court, with a request for an order to upturn the judgements of both the tribunal and the Court of Appeal.
