Kogi Governor Appoints CoS, Others

The governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has appointed Onoja David Edward as Chief of Staff (CoS) to the governor. According to a statement from the government house, the CoS who hails from Ogugu in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State, rose to management positions in several companies in financial as well as oil and gas sectors. The governor also appointed Abdulkarim Omuya Adubi Abdulmalik as Special Adviser on Media and Strategy. Before his current position, Abdulmalik, who is an indegene of Ihima in Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State, had practiced as a journalist, social media expert and media consultant. The appointment, which takes immediate effect, also has Kingsley Olorunfemi Fanwo named as Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor. Famwo is an indegene of Takete Ide Amuro in Mopamuro Local Government Area of Kogi State, and was Vanguard’s correspondent in the state before his appointment.
