EPL Fixtures: Arsenal Hosts Liverpool, Mourinho Faces Guardiola

The English Premier League has released the fixtures for the 2016/17 season. The fixtures which were released on Wednesday at 9am have some mouth-watering match-ups throughout the campaign. The season kicks off on Saturday August 13 with Arsenal hosting Liverpool at the Emirates in what should be the star match of the opening week. Champions, Leicester City, will begin their title defence away to newly promoted side Hull City at the KC Stadium. Other matches to look out for in the season’s opener are Chelsea versus West Ham as well as Everton versus Spurs. The much awaited matchup between Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola will hold on September 10 as Manchester United hosts Manchester City in the first Manchester derby. The first Merseyside derby of the season will see Everton host Liverpool on December 17 while Tottenham Hotspur will be away to Arsenal in the first North London derby. Another interesting game to whet your appetite is when Jose Mourinho leads his Manchester United team to the Stamford Bridge to face former side Chelsea on October 22. On November 26 Ronald Koeman will make a return to the St. Marys as his Everton team plays former side Southampton. The 2016/17 season will come to an end on May 21, 2017 with Arsenal hosting Everton as the key game.
