Junior Ajayi scored two goals in Al Ahly’s 6-2 friendly win over Egyptian third division side Shiko on Monday and he is confident of pleasing the club’s fans.The 20-year-old joined the Egyptian giants from Tunisian side CS Sfaxien on a four-year-deal to replace Gabon forward Malick Evouna who departed for Chinese side Tianjin Teda.“The Shiko friendly game was useful as I followed all the technical instructions, so I am happy with my performance during the game,” Ajayi told reporters after the friendly, as reported by Ahram Online.“I dealt with the friendly game as if it were an official one to meet the coach’s expectations.“I am confident of joining the team’s starting lineup during the coming league games.“I am following the coach’s instructions during trainings to improve my performance as I hope to please Ahly’s fans, who are waiting for more from me during the coming games.”
The Nigerian youth international scored 10 goals and provided six assists for CS Sfaxien last term.
