Another “Yahoo Boy” Jailed for 24 Years

An undergraduate of the Kuala Lumpur Metropolitan University, Malaysia, Hope Olusegun Aroke, has been sentenced by Justice Lateefa Okunnu of the Lagos State High Court, sitting in Ikeja, for getting involved in internet scam amounting to four thousand riaait (Approximately N25, 000,000). Aroke was found guilty on a two-count charge of obtaining money by false pretence; cheque cloning, wire transfer and forgery. He was sentenced to twelve years’ imprisonment on each of the two counts.
