Army Raises Alarm Over Boko Haram’s Plan to Use Beggars for Attacks

The Nigerian Army on Friday disclosed that Boko Haram insurgents are planning launch attacks through beggars. In a statement released by the Media Coordinator of the Operation Lafiya Dole in Borno State, Col. Mustapha Anka, the Nigerian Army alerted Borno residents on the purported plans by the insurgents. The News Agency of Nigeria quoted Anca as saying “The attention of the Operation Lafiya Dole has been drawn to a terrorists’ intention to use beggars to cause mayhem in the state. “Under the plan, concealed explosives in bundles of firewood are to be placed in crowded and strategic areas of Maiduguri and environs to cause havoc.
