The Super Falcons star has restated her desire to help young footballers realise their dreams after being named the face of the women’s national cup
Nigeria international Asisat Oshoala has reiterated her determination to encourage young women footballers in the country after she was named the ”˜Face of the 2016 women’s Federation Cup’.At the unveiling ceremony held in Lagos, the Arsenal Ladies star expressed delight at her new responsibility and resolved to provide more support the game in Nigeria.“It has always been my desire to encourage younger footballers in Nigeria,” said Oshoala.“I am prepared to join hands with the NFF to rekindle the passion and bring back the crowd for this age-old competition in Nigeria.”Before her departure to Europe, the former Africa Women’s Player of the Year won the women’s Federation Cup back-to-back in 2013 and 2014. As part of her deal, Oshoala will feature and hand out branded football materials to fans at this year’s final between Rivers Angels and Bayelsa Queens.Discover more from NewsBreakers
