Boko Haram’s Intelligence Better than That of Our Military- TY Danjuma

Theophilus Danjuma, a retired lieutenant-general and former army chief, has said that the Boko Haram’s ability to gather intelligence has become 100 percent better than that of the Nigerian military.Danjuma maintained that the fight against Boko Haram has entered its most critical stage.He also noted that Nigerians “must brace up” to weather the new challenge. He made this known while speaking in Sokoto on Tuesday at the opening of the new secretariat”Ž for the Catholic Diocese built by Matthew Kukah, the bishop.The retired lieutenant maintained that with Nigeria winning the territorial war, the insurgents have now devised a strategy of disappearing into wider civilian population and setting up sleeper cells who wreak havoc on softer targets.Danjuma further stated that this new strategy has not only bolstered the intelligence capability of the terrorists, but has made them have superior surveillance techniques than Nigeria’s security agencies.He said when Boko Haram openly denounced all religions, President Muhammadu Buhari called them terrorists and urged all Muslims to consider them as such.Danjuma also added that Boko Haram having sleeper cells among the generality of the population has made them have intelligence capability that is 100 percent better than that of our security agencies”Ž.” Governors Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto and Adams Oshiomhole of Edo, in their remarks, asked Nigerians to promote religious harmony and understanding.
