Respite came the way of the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate in the Bayelsa Gubernatorial election, Chief Timipre Sylva.The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja threw out the N19.2 billion fraud charges levelled against the former governor of Bayelsa state, Timipre Sylva.Justice Ademola submitted that the 50-count charge against the former governor by the EFCC grossly abuse court process.According to the Justice Ademola, the case has been struck out by two federal high courts, therefore there is no need to refile the case.Justice Ademola also ruled that the court lacked the jurisdiction to rule on the criminal charges against Sylva.
