Buhari says 10,000 Lost to Terrorism

President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed that well over 10,000 lives have been lost in the last six years to activities of insurgency.He also added that over two million Nigerians were internally displaced as a result of terrorism, just as he explained that many of those displaced included women and children.The President, while speaking at a banquet hosted by Queen Elizabeth II for Heads of State and Government participating in the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Malta, expressed the need for the establishment of what he termed Commonwealth Committee to oversee the rendering of greater assistance and support to Nigeria and other member-countries which had been adversely affected by the scourge of terrorism.
