BVN Enrolment Continues Indefinitely- CBN

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has stated that though the deadline for enrolment of the customer Bank Verification Number (BVN) expired on October 31, 2015, the exercise would nonetheless continue. The apex bank Director, Corporate Communications, Ibrahim Mu’azu, argued that though the time frame given for the enrolment had expired, customers who are yet to be registered could still do so in order to remove the restrictions on their accounts.The Director consequently suggested that customers should stand their grounds on being registered by their banks. According to him, “The deadline of October 31, 2015 does not in any way suggest an end to the registration.”
