CHINESE DECLARED WANTED BY KANO POLICE OFFICIALS

A Chinese National on Monday has been declared wanted by the Kano State Police Command. In an interview with News Agency of Nigeria, Police Spokesperson, DSP Magaji Majiya said that Mr Yang Zhong, was declared wanted based on an alleged murder of another national, a Kano-based Chinese businessman, Mr Wu Haiwang on July 17. He said,

“Mr Yang Zhong, also a businessman, is suspected to be behind the murder attempt made on Mr Wu Haiwang. As a result, Mr Yang Zhong, who holds a passport with number G58738024, suspected to be the brain behind the murder attempt, has been declared wanted by the police.”Mr Haiwang who was severely injured was attacked by men posing as customers during a warehouse display of fuel dispensers in Kano. Three other culprits in direct connection to the murder of Mr Wu have been arrested and charged to court while a frantic search for others is on-going. Chinese Embassy has been called upon to assist in the search for Mr Yang Zhong, suspected to be the mastermind behind the crime.
