Four staff members of the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) have been locked away in the Kuje Prison following a verdict by Justice Okon Abang who remanded them after they pleaded not guilty for aiding and abetting the exportation of 144 kgs of ephedrine to Mozambique.
A charge was filed against them by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) after a futile attempt to smuggle drugs to Maputo, Mozambique at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.The accused include the Chief Security supervisor of NAHCO, Mr. Audu Garba, two security assistants, Nasiru Ibrahim and Haruna Abdullahi and Victor Ahenje, a load controller.They will all remain in custody till January 9th, the date of their court hearing.
