Court to Rule On Hearing of Contempt Suit Against Ecobank

A Federal High sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos presided over by Justice Mohammed Idris will on January 15, 2016 deliver ruling on whether to hear a contempt proceeding initiated by Honeywell Flours Mills and others against Ecobank. The judge arrived at the decision after entertaining arguments for adjournment from counsels to both parties. According to Justice Idris, “The court must uphold its integrity. It is not just desirable, but important to hear the contempt proceedings. “The court must give precedence to the contempt proceedings.”
