Cross River to enlist over 3,000 youths for its state Homeland Security Service

By Akinwande OnadekoThe Cross River state government has announced that it would be recruiting over 3,000 youths for its just established Homeland Security Service, which is a non-bearing organization. The state government has also joined forces with the Nigeria Police Force to begin the recruitment process. An applicant must be at least 6 feet tall and must possess a university degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) to be eligible.

The Cross River State Homeland Security was recently established after its bill was passed by the state House of Assembly. Its primary aim is to collate information aimed at improving policing of the state by the Nigeria Police Force.Several Kia automobiles fitted with modern and state of the art communication gadgets have been bought for the inauguration of the programme.
