Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN), has revealed that the reason behind the current scarcity of petroleum products across the country is the delay in oil subsidy payment.Executive Secretary of the association, Obafemi Olawore, who confirmed that the Federal Government has paid the association a sum to the tune of over N400bn petrol subsidy claims, however, argued that the actual payment of the subsidy claims was effected a week ago after a directive by President Muhammadu Buhari mandating the concerned agencies to settle the debt.Olawore further stated that the marketers had started importing petrol, but it would take a minimum of three weeks for the product to get to Nigeria and for it to be discharged from the various import vessels.
