The Technical Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has put an end to the payment of dollar bonus for players of the Super Eagles and other national teams. This, according to the committee, is part of the restructuring going on in the NFF. It was learnt that under this new arrangement, players will only be paid what is regarded as a performance-based bonus which according to the football body will be tied to how they fared in any given championship. It was further gathered that during the qualifiers for the forthcoming Russia 2018 World Cup, Super Eagles players will no longer be paid the usual $10,000 dollars each as match bonus per match. Rather, the NFF will intimate the players of how much they stand the chances of gaining if they qualify for the tournament only and only if they pick the qualification ticket.Â
