President Buhari has placed emphasis on his commitment to fight corruption, protect the interest and safety of the nation and rescue the economy from the current hardship. This was said at the State House, Abuja as he collected his Letter of Credence of the United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. William Stuart Symington.

According to a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, the president said there was a tangible increase in the security situation in the North-East.He further told the US ambassador that his administration was still aimed at investigating and prosecuting defaulters of the law and fighting against corruption else the country would be completely devastated by it.
