The removal of the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the Rivers state governor, Gov. Nyesom Wike in less than a week to the State’s legislative re-run elections has been condemned by Ekiti state governor, Gov. Ayodele Fayose saying it was clear that the federal government was out to sway the will of the people of Rivers by any means necessary in favour of the All Progressive Congress (APC) party.
He also alerted the international community on the dangers faced by the country by the APC-led federal government, urging them not to abandon the country while those in power drove it deeper into despair.Special Assistant to the governor on Public Communications and New Media quoted the governor as saying that it was becoming clearer when the Rivers State governor made claim that there was a plan to assassinate him before Saturday.Fayose also warned the federal government to desist from all measures taken to make the country a one party state and stating that the country could never become a one party state. He also reminded the president to fulfil the promise of ensuring the safety of Nigerians irregardless of what party they belong to.Discover more from NewsBreakers
