First United Methodist Church Celebrates 175 Years

First United Methodist Church will celebrate its 175th anniversary starting at 8:45 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at 145 Prairie St.The event begins with a brunch and an organ recital by Jim Athas. The Rev. Forrest Wells will lead a celebratory service at 10 a.m. in the church, and Bishop Hee-Soo Jung will attend.The celebration is open to the public. Cake, punch and coffee will be served after the church service.
