Speaking at a workshop on Sensitization of Law Enforcement Agencies on Telecommunications Issues organized by Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), he said that ICT played a pivotal role in fighting crimes in advanced countries. He maintained that the use of modern technology could access places where policemen could not be physically posted to and also detect the crime committed and gather information leading to the eventual arrest. He advised the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to partner with security agencies in the country to create ways to generate technical intelligence using ICT.He also urged security agencies in the country to form a synergy in tackling crime rather than working solo so as to earn themselves credit.
