I won’t appear before you on Wednesday- Ali to Senate

 AliThe Comptroller General, Nigeria Customs Service, Col. Hameed Ali (rtd.) on Tuesday said he would not be appearing before the Senate on Wednesday.Ali gave his reasons in a letter to the upper chamber. The letter stated that the Nigeria Customs Service would be having routine management meeting on Wednesday.In the letter which was read on the floor of the upper chamber on Tuesday, Ali asked for another day to appear before the chamber.The lawmakers were displeased with this development especially as the letter was purported to have been signed by the Assistant Comptroller, an act they considered rude.Senate President, Bukola Saraki however insists that Ali appears before the lawmakers on Wednesday. Ali is also expected to appear in uniform.
