Ihejirika in DSS Net over Arms Deal

Former Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Major-General Azubuike Ihejirika (rtd), has been arrested by operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS), NewsBreakers can authoritatively report.

Ihejirika was arrested late last night at his mega residence in Maitama, Abuja, in connection with the arms purchase scandal for which several former military and political chiefs are currently undergoing investigation or trial, among them the immediate past National Security Adviser (NSA) retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki.NewsBreakers learnt from its security sources that more than N400 million in cash and 12 cars were among property recovered from Ihejirika’s residence by DSS operatives.
