Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of Isis, is reportedly extremely ill after being poisoned.
It’s suspected that meals served to Baghdadi and three other Isis commanders were poisoned by an assassin in the Be’aaj district, southwest of Nineveh, in Iraq.A source told Iraqi news agency WAA that the four ”˜have been transferred to an unknown location under strict measures’.They added that the terror group has now launched a campaign of arrests to try and find the person or persons responsible. This is far from the first brush with death Baghdadi has had, however.Earlier in the year there were reports he had been killed by US-led coalition airstrikes ”“ however, these claims turned out to be false. He has also reportedly been wounded multiple times.Baghdadi is often credited with transforming Isis from a breakaway al-Qaeda group to an independent, highly feared terrorist organisation. The US currently has a $10million bounty on his head.Discover more from NewsBreakers
