Indications are rife that the cases involving serving Senator Buruji Kashamu, immediate past Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah, and former Director-General (DG) of Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Patrick Akpobolokemi, will now start afresh. This is because the judges presiding over their cases have all been transferred to other divisions of the Federal High Court (FHC) by the Chief Judge (CJ), Justice Ibrahim Auta. The affected judges are: Justices Okon Abang, Mohammed Yunusa, Chukwujekwu Aneke and Musa Kurya.Specifically, Justice Abang, who stopped the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) from arresting Senator Buruji Kashamu, over alleged illicit drug dealing, was transferred to Abuja.Cases pending before him are: Former Presidential Adviser Kingsley Kuku Vs. Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Honeywell Group Vs. Ecobank Plc.On the other hand, Justice Yunusa, who granted the order restraining anti-graft agencies from arresting former Aviation Minister, Princess Stella Oduah, was transferred to Enugu State. While justice Aneke was transferred to Benue, Justice Kurya was moved to Plateau State. With the transfers, cases before the judges will begin afresh.
