Kebbi Govt to Assist UNICEF in Education

The Kebbi State Government has announced plans to collaborate with the United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) in order to raise the standard of education in the state.
While addressing the pressmen in Brinin Kebbi on Wednesday, the state Commissioner for Education, Alhaji Muhammed Aliero said, ‘There is need for collaborative effort with UNICEF and other stakeholders to promote the standard of education in the state.’
Aliero reached out to all the stakeholders in the state to support the ministry on the development of education.
Meanwhile, the UNICEF Education Officer, Hajiya Tukur Yabo, had earlier said the visit was to seek for areas of collaboration with the state to transform education, said the statement.
Hajiya Safiya Abbullahi, who is also an official of the fund emphasised that UNICEF would ensure the impact on the sector.
