Kuje Jailbreak: Okah Still with Us – NPS

The Nigeria Prisons Service (NPS) has confirmed that the alleged mastermind of the 2010 independence day bomb blast in Abuja, Charles Okah is still in its custody as against fears that he escaped. This is coming as it confirmed a Friday night jailbreak at the Kuje Minimum Prisons. The NPS, however, posited that it is yet to confirm if any inmate escaped. Consequently, the Comptroller General of the Service, Ahmed Ja’afaru, directed that an audit is carried out without any further delay. Jafaru equally issued an order that a probe is carried out to find out the immediate and remote cause of the incident.
