Kwara Govt Strikes Out Ghost Workers in Schools

  The Kwara State Government has begun a verification exercise for workers and pensioners in schools across the state. This involves the use of Bank Verification Numbers (BVN) to verify workers and pensioners. To this effect, the Kwara State Committee on Personnel Database Development issued a signed statement in Ilorin on Thursday by its alternate Chairman, Alhaji Sola Isiaka Gold who disclosed that the verification of schools’ location started on Wednesday and would end on Friday, April 2, 2016. It also includes a physical verification exercise for workers and pensioners in Ilorin West Local Government scheduled to hold between April 4 and 6; Ilorin South, April 6-8; Ilorin East, 11-13; Ifelodun, 14-15; and Asa, April 18-19, 2016. Workers and pensioners in Edu, Isin and Oyun local governments would be verified on April 20, 21 and 22 respectively.
