Man gets more than what he bargained for fighting hemp smokers

A fight which ensued at the Mushin area of Lagos state has resulted in the loss of an ear of one Mr. Tolani Ajisefini after speaking against hemp smoking. The aforementioned was a regular visitor to the area where he lived with his parents before relocating to Isolo, also in Lagos state.He was reported to have warned youths he met smoking in his former house but all fell on deaf ears.According to Punch, a resident who pleaded anonymity reported that he had left the area since he had no right to dictate them on what to do and what not to do. This later resulted in arguments which then escalated into a fight. One of the victim’s friends had come to help him fight some of the gang members, however the unnamed friend was told off by the victim as he believed the matter was of no concern to him.One of the gang members named Michael however mocked the friend, saying the victim did not appreciate his effort. This led to Tolani attacking Michael over the remark with a bottle who deflected the attack and bit off one of Tolani’s ears, he however sustained a bite injury.The victim was quickly rushed to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba where he was attended to by medical personnel on duty. However, the ear could not be stitched back because the tissue was already dead and thus had to be discarded. Although, he could be given an artificial ear via surgery.The Police Public Relations Officer of Lagos state, SP Dolapo Badmus reported that the police was not aware of the incident.
