AN MP warned Britain is marching towards a black hole after the Prime Minister announced she will trigger Brexit negotiations.Hove MP Peter Kyle said the Government lacked a strategy going into negotiations and warned Brexit voters they will not get what they wanted. He said: “The Government has failed to spell out their vision for Britain in a post-Brexit world. By triggering Article 50 she has decided to walk down a one-way street, without knowing in the slightest direction where we are heading and I think it is irresponsible.“Failing to spell out any of the aspirations for negotiations is just marching Britain towards a black hole.”Prime Minister Theresa May announced the UK will trigger Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty by the end of March 2017 -formally starting negotiations to leave the European Union (EU).Mr Kyle, who campaigned to remain in the EU, is convinced the government will not be able to their deliver the promises made by leading Brexiteers during the referendum. The Labour MP called for a jury of Leave voters to scrutinise Mrs May’s plans. He said: “She should put the terms of negotiation to a jury confidentially and see whether it matches up to what they voted for.“I don’t think the majority of leave voters are going to get want they want, and the time she should be listening is now – because once she has submitted Article 50 it is too late.”Despite criticisms of Jeremy Corbyn’s campaign during the referendum and backing Owen Smith in the recent leadership contest , Mr Kyle has pledged his support to the re-elected party leader, saying he will support Mr Corbyn to be the “voice the public desperately needs at such a dangerous time”.He added: “Theresa May is showing no interest in listening to the broader population, the only people she is listening to are the ones inside the Tory Party conference. And I want to make sure the Labour Party is listening to the whole electorate, what they want to gain from Brexit and what their fears are if the negotiations go wrong.”Speaking at the Tory Party conference in Birmingham, Mrs May said: “Whether people like it or not, the country voted to leave the EU.“That means we are going to leave the EU. We are going to be a fully independent, sovereign country.”The UK is set to leave the EU by summer 2019.
