This advice was given as it was gathered that only a fraction of cases of adverse drug reactions were reported by Nigerians.”˜Medicines are double-edged swords that can have tremendous benefits or untoward effects on our health. However, by continuously monitoring all medicines, it is possible to detect those causing unwanted Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) and prevent them from causing harm to users’, said Mrs. Oni.The programme was organized by NAFDAC in collaboration with National Malaria Elimination Programme which aims to create awareness and sensitize people on the need to report any reaction caused by the use of medicines.
