NAIRA SUCCUMBS AGAINST THE DOLLAR

The Naira witnessed a slight fall in the Parallel market, Friday, against the dollar with the approach of the yuletide season.The Naira formerly exchanged at N485 to a dollar for close to 2 weeks, rose to trade at N487, while the Pound Sterling and the Euro closed at N605 and N510 respectively.Meanwhile at the Bureau De Change, Naira remained at N399 to a dollar, while the Pound Sterling pegged at N606 and the Euro at N515.The Inter- Bank Market registered the Naira at a stable price of N305 to a dollar.Traders attributed the fall of the Naira to the high demand for dollars.Despite efforts by the Federal Government to strengthen the Naira, it had continued to fall drastically.Discover more from NewsBreakers
