NCDC Records 360 New Cases, 8 Deaths

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 360 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 156,017. Eight new deaths were recorded while there were 136 recoveries. Lagos State is reported to have topped the list.

The 360 new cases are reported from 19 states – Lagos (120), Edo (38), Kaduna (25), FCT (23), Imo (23), Delta (19), Akwa Ibom (17), Plateau (17) Rivers (16) Nasarawa (15), Kwara (13), Oyo (9), Ogun (8), Bauchi (4), Osun (4), Kano (3), Kebbi (3), Niger (2) and Katsina (1).

The breakdown of the NCDC tweet shows that the 360 cases were from 19 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with a total of 120 cases. Edo State followed with 38 cases while Kaduna State had 25 cases. Find the breakdown in the picture below.

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), all the thirty-six (36) states in Nigeria including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have so far recorded cases of COVID-19. Also, Lagos State still holds the record for most cases in Nigeria.

So far, 156,017 cases have been confirmed, 133,904 cases have been discharged and 1915 deaths have been recorded.
