Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated the determination of his government to get back stolen funds kept in foreign safe havens.Speaking at the Sixth Session of the Conference of State Parties to the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC) in St Petersburg, the former Russian Federation capital, Buhari who was represented by Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission’s (ICPC), Ekpo Nta argued that Nigeria would raise the tempo of alliance with international partners in the drive to seize illicit assets stashed abroad by Nigerians.Buhari therefore requested for the assistance of Western powers and the 10 small pacific Island nations, where Nigerian public funds are lodged.
