Two men have been arraigned in a Gudu Upper Area Court, Abuja over the alleged theft of 3 dogs. The men, Suleiman Shehu and Bashir Abubakar are standing trial on the charges of criminal trespass, joint act and theft.
The prosecutor said that one Solomon Olajide, Zacharia Ibrahim and Ibrahim Aminu reported the matter at Apo police station on November 26th. One of the dogs belonging to one of the men who complained is valued at N20, 000 while the other dogs belonging to the other two men are valued at N75,000 and N55,000.During police investigation, the accused confessed to have committed the crime but claimed they stole only one dog instead of three.The case has been adjourned to January 17th for hearing.
