President Buhari Mourns Inuwa Wada the Fourth

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed deep grief at the loss of the paramount ruler of the Tiv people of Benue State, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Wada.Inuwa Wada, the Tor Tiv, Alfred Akawe Torkula, was a one-time minister of defence in the first republic.The President, in a statement issued by Femi Adesina his special adviser on media, reiterated that the fourth Tor Tiv, Alhaji Inuwa Wada was a great advocate of peace and unity during his 24-year reign.He urged the late ruler’s subjects to maintain his legacy of peace during and after the succession process.Inuwa Wada was said to have died at his residence in Durumin Iya quarters, municipal Kano. He was buried according to Islamic rites at Kiki or Mayanka burial ground. Alhaji Inuwa Wada passed on at the age of 106, last Wednesday night.
