President commiserates with families of victims of the Adamawa bomb blast

He offered condolences to the state government and its people, assuring them that they were not alone in the grief following such a huge loss.In a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, on Friday, he stated that putting an end to the unreasonable loss of innocent lives remains at the topmost priority of his administration.According to him, the Nigerian military have made tangible progress aimed at defeating the Boko Haram terrorist group once and for all over the past few weeks.He however urged Nigerians to be extremely vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest security authorities.He said the battle against terrorism was one that involved both citizens and the government.He prayed that God would comfort the family of the bereaved and he wished the injured a speedy recovery.According to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), 56 people were killed and 177 injured in the twin blasts. 57 persons out of the injured had critical issues while the remaining 120 were minor. They were immediately rushed to the Mubi General Hospital and Yola Specialists Hospital.
