Rivers State Governor Pledges N600m for Hospital Project in Akwa Ibom

Nyesom Wike, Rivers State Governor has pledged N600m to support the construction of a hospital in Akwa Ibom State. The hospital is to be located in Awa, Onna Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom.

The Rivers State Governor, according to his media aide, made the pledge during the hospital’s groundbreaking ceremony. The hospital being built is a partnership between the Bua Group and the Akwa Ibom State Government. The latter initially announced a N2.5bn support for the project.

Rivers State shares boundary with Akwa Ibom and the Governonrs of both States belong to the People’s Democratic Party.
