School, Estate Named After HID

In commemoration of the life of the matriarch of the Awolowo family, Mrs. Hannah Idowu Dideolu (HID) Awolowo, the Ibikunle Amosun administration has named the Model School in Ikenne and Plain Fields Estate, Abeokuta after her.The school and estate are on-going projects under the Ogun State government.Many dignitaries, including Governor Amosun, Bisi Akande, Kayode Fayemi, Chief Ernest Shonekan, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, Tunji Olurin were present to extol Mama Awolowo.The governor described Mama Awolowo as an exemplary woman, a great mother, grandmother and a true daughter of Ogun State. He encouraged Nigerian women to imbibe Mama’s core values of selfless love and service to humanity.
