Stanbic IBTC has just launched its first self-service digital branch. The inauguration of the branch took place in Lagos yesterday with Leo Stan-Eke, the pioneer and founder of technology business company Zinox, commissioning it and declaring it open for business.

The branch located at Maryland Mall is said to have its processes and systems completely digitalized and equipped with tablets, touch screens, electronic banking devices and modern technological devices aimed at enabling customers perform financial transactions with ease.Yinka Sanni, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Stanbic IBTC said the digitalization of the banking sector is of immense use and value to the economy.He also said that Stanbic IBTC aims at creating more digital branches and innovations as fresh investments are made to deliver on the bank’s long term goal to  build a ”˜bank for everyone’.Eke who commended the bank for their innovative idea; pointed out that the facility was defined by consumer security, protection and trust as all the technologies put in place were best in class.
