State security, a deep concern for Governor Yari as he meets with Buhari to discuss solutions

By Akinwande OnadekoAbdulaziz Yari, the governor of Zamfara met with President Buhari to discuss security issues in his state yesterday. Speaking with some correspondents at Aso Rock, Abuja, the governor reported the president had been briefed about the security challenges facing the state of recent.According to Vanguard news, he reported that some villages have been attacked by criminals and that has led to security guards been posted to the safe to ensure safety and tighten security. He also relayed the successful rescuing of 40 kidnapped people who are now home with their families without the payment of any ransom or sustaining any injury.A statement said by him is as follows; ”˜I believe the security agencies are doing their best and we will continue as a government to give them the support needed to make this operation successful’.He however hoped for the military personnel to stay a little longer and promised to cater for their need since the state was heavily surrounded by forests and any security measure offered would be greatly appreciated.
