We’re still functional – MMA2 operator

Despite the challenges facing two of the airlines operating from the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two in Lagos, the operator of the terminal, Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited says MMA2 is still fully operational.murtala-mohammed-international-airport-lagosThe managements of Aero Contractors and First Nation announced the suspension of their flight operations last week due to economic and other challenges but they promised to return as soon as possible.But the BASL said in a statement on Monday said that despite the suspension of flight operations by Aero Contractors and First Nation, the MMA2 had continued to operate and remained the choice of passengers flying locally.The statement, signed by the Chief Executive Officer of BASL, Captain Jari Williams, said of the five airlines operating from the MMA2, only two suspended their operations, while the remaining three, Dana Air, Med-View Airline and Azman Airlines, had continued to operate.The statement said, “The remaining airlines are not only still operating, they are increasing their capacity to meet the increasing number of passengers trooping to the MMA2 daily. They are also introducing new routes to take care of the flying public.”It also said, “The managements of the two airlines, and even the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, have explained that their aircraft will return to operations, as soon as the issues surrounding the suspension of flight operations are sorted out.“However, our terminal, with all its facilities, remains in operations, as usual, because we are here to serve all the airlines and the flying public. Besides, the BASL is still looking forward to welcoming more airlines to the terminal as this remains a golden opportunity for them to leverage our excellent facilities to enhance their operations.“As quality and seamless passenger facilitation is our business at the MMA2, we will continue to provide world-class services to our esteemed customers in this harsh economic climate.”
