56 people are reported dead and many others wounded in a coordinated attack in a crowded market in Madagali town, Adamawa State, Northeastern Nigeria.

The attack was reported to have been carried out by two schoolgirl suicide bombers. The bombings bore the hallmark of the Boko Haram terrorist group.Yusuf Mohammed, chairman of the local district government said the bombing left 56 people dead and 57 wounded.The aforementioned terrorist group has been known to attack crowded areas such as market places, places of worship or refugee camps in suicide bombings in Nigeria and neighbouring countries such as Cameroun or Niger.
