Super Eagles will not pull out of Zambia game, insists Amaju Pinnick

The country’s football governing body has debunked rumours claiming the body is broke, therefore be unable to cater for the national team’s needs for the Chipolopolo game

The Nigeria Football Federation has debunked reports that the Super Eagles will not honour their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia in Ndola on October 9, 2016.The country’s ruling football body president, Amaju Pinnick said the report is baseless and has assured all Nigerians all will be well for the game against the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations champions.“We have concluded arrangements on movement to and from Zambia. Any talk of being unable to go is a big lie.” Pinnick told NFF media.“Some persons have perfected the art of concocting stories they feel people want to read about NFF and passing it off as authentic stories.”The Eagles’ camp will open on October 2, before the players depart for Zambia few days later.Nigeria are in Group B alongside Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia for Russia 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.
