The trial of Senate President, Bukola Saraki, before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), has been fixed for March 10, 2016. Saraki was docked last year before the tribunal on a 13-count charge of alleged false declaration of assets. But the Senate President instituted an appeal in the Supreme Court to question the jurisdiction of the tribunal, and whether it formed a quorum to hear the case. However, the apex court, on February 5, 2016 threw out the appeal and directed him to submit himself for trial.
