University of Maiduguri: Three suicide bombers kill selves in failed attack

A failed attack carried out by three male suicide bombers in the early hours of Friday on the University of Maiduguri has resulted in the death of the attackers.The bombers detonated their explosives when they were approached by both the security officials and the vigilante group at the University.The blast injured two security officers and two vigilantes. However, the dead suicide bombers have been deposited at the Specialists Hospital Maiduguri.Media report from the VON confirmed that the students were in their hostels while some were reading in classes for the ongoing second semester exams when the incident occurred.The students were not comfortable with repeated attacks in the school which is making the environment non-conducive for learning.Same failed attack was reported in the school last week. The students have therefore called on the school management to ensure adequate security on campus.Media report has confirmed that security personnel has been drafted to the school to ensure the security of the students.
